best gear for my set up
Hey, if you look at the mods in my sig, theirs NO gear change, im running 2.73's... which i mean im suprised at how much go my car has off the line but still i need the lower gears now. I am DEFINITELY not doing 4.10's i have the top gear power. I want either 3.55 or 3.73. I wont be doing lots of highway driving but i still dont want to be passed when i git 4th-5th gear... what do you think?

Most people that frequent here on MM suggest 3.73 as a bare minimum and 4.10 most of the time. My local area crowd typically suggests 3.55 or 3.73 about equally and a few 4.10's in the mix. Strange.

i have 4.10's in my car, and was told by everyone if i didn't get them i'd regret it. They were right.
my friend had 3.73 in his 90 GT convertible, but he also had it bored and the edelbrock upper and lower intake. Car was a monster without gears, but when he put them in the car was dominating the locals I say the 3.73 is the all around better gear for foxes....but thats just my .02

well theres not a HUGE dif. between 3:73's and 4:10's...but 3:55's pull rlly hard and have more top end..but if never gunna get on the highway 3:73's..4:10's are cool too..but not to fun on highway..cuz you're in higher rpms in high gears at lower speeds

but they help you do the speed limit! lol...because you dont want to be turning too many RPMs at 80, so you slow down some. Well at least i have!
