Removing non-working AC & Smog

I figured since the AC doesn't work anyways I would just remove the dead weight but I need to know if I need to do anything special in order to make sure that I still have heat? Never done this before so any help is appreciated. Also removing the smog pump I take it just plug all the lines from the source? Also if anyone could provide the proper belt length needed once this is done it would be appreciated.

for the smog.....take off all of the rubber hoses that were connected to the pump....take everything off except for the tube that is connected to the heads.....i still havent got around the cutting it so its just plugged....as far as the a/c goes just follow the shit back from the pump......you can leave two holes in the firewall on the passenger side inside the engine compartment.........belt size on my 90 is 68.5 but that is with underdrive pulleys.....you can just take off your belt now and run a string around the new path to measure it......

So removing all the AC stuff, lines, etc...will not affect my heat?

You want to buy a power steering relocate kit that moves the P/S pump were the A/C used to be this is a usaual practice in a/c delete and you will want to runs a short belt for bypasing the smog just got to the parts store and keep trying different belts until one fits that the only way to find out

Do I have to move the P/S pump? or can I just use a short belt and leave it where it is haven't looked at the belt routing to see if it's doable yet

So I take it this is a must if you get rid of your AC junk? Are all the P/S lines long enough?

i dont have A/C and i still have my P/S pump in stock location..and you can remove smog pump if you state requires you to pass emissions...ASP makes a rlly nice looking free spinning A/C delete bracket and an Smog Pump delete bracket..that adds looks and functionality..and you can use stock belt..

ASP A/C Delete:

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS

ASP Smog Delete:

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS

they look the same...but both are for either delete..but bolt into stock location..i have A/C bracket..
