Some Advice Please

Lately the stang has been running bad, when you nail it she hesitates and hardly gives me that kick in the pants, almost acts like not enough fuel. The only thing I've done to her lately is turn the timing down from 20 to 14 degrees, that helped alittle with the starting problem I was having, I never really got on it with the timiing at 20 so I don't know if it was like this before I changed it down or not. Sorry for the long post and many Thanks in advance.

i run 20 degrees of timing on my car all the time and always use high octane gas sep if i`m spraying it i never had such problems could it be time for a good tune up maybe change the fuel filter i bump my timing up until it started pinging then i back it up in 1 degrees intervals until it stop pinging
