help with a couple of questions
ok im needing some help with a few things and i know you guys know the answers ok my first problem is i have a 91 vert im building im putting a 347 stroker kit in it i have the block machine work done what i need to know is will a 28oz work in it or do i have to have a 50oz kit since thats what it was stock. im gonna buy a new harmonic balancer and flywheel anyways so i can go both ways another problem i have is motormounts does a vert have special motormounts or can i use any fox body mounts my old ones are wore out also are the shocks and struts special on a vert im wanting to use lakewood drag shocks and struts and eibach springs thanks for any help

Use stock vert mounts most guys use em,your stroker kit has to be balanced,i would get a 28oz flywheel and balancer then bring the kit with the flywheel and balancer to a machine shop to have balanced.

If the kit is made for 50 OZ external balance you need 50 OZ flywheel and balancer. 28 OZ then 28 OZ.
If you are going to have it rotationally balanced, they can make 28 OZ work, but it is going to be expensive as it will take a few slugs of mallory heavy metal to get it to balance. Plus there is no advantage to using 28 over 50.

Zero balance it. Cost is a little higher but well worth it.
Vert mount lower the motor about 3/4" |
