ok im building a 408 after i get done with this car and i need some info on stroker kits'''who makes a good one,what year block should i get and i need to know how i would go about wiring since im going carbed[/code]

anyway just buy a new 351W block from Ford Racing

I dont know much about racing blocks so you got me there

i am building a 347 but after i get this car done im gonna build a 408 windsor,a c-4 or c-6 just as a project for myself,and try to build it with my own money and get it done before i graduate

Give M & R a call in California. Last time I talked to them they had 408 shortblocks with 4340 forged crank, H-beams, Forged pistons (KB), fully balanced, with a main cap girdle for like $2500. I believe these were for roller blocks so you can use late model roller cams.
They build a lot of motors for NASCAR races.

you can put a solid roller in any block. Good luck building an all forged 408 for less than $2500

69 to early 74 351W blocks are the strongest production blocks if that is the info you are looking for.

Rotating assemblies can be found everywhere...I personally like www.fordstrokers.com

how much power are you wanting to make, any power adder, how much money do you have??? Dart makes some wonderful blocks, as does World Products...But some are already machined and others need alot of machining...Just depends on where you find it and how much it is to begin with.
