powerband

i was wondering what exactly is the powerband and when is it reached, can anyone help me

you should be able to feel it...the car will go through those certain RPMs the fastest, and pull the hardest...In a stock 5.0, it is from like 1500-5500.

the powerband is the range (in RPMs) between peak torque and peak Horsepower.

get going around 25 and put your car in 4th and then floor it, you should be able to feel when the car starts to pull harder

and u could watch your gas needle fall

6250 is the rev limiter...it sould fall before that

i heard headgaskets dont like the rev limiter? ive hit mine b4 but i didnt see any problems

So if you get going about 85 mph and shift it into first and let the clutch out you will easily fly by that pesky 6250 rev limit...

the stock rev limiter cuts fuel supply so if your runnin n2o it will lean out. then big boom...
