quad shocks


so how do i get rid of the quad shocks,

As long as you have aftermarket uppers and lowers you can remove the quads. Jack the car up. You will also need to jack under the rear to take the weight off of it. Remove the tire, remove the bolts and pull the quad off. Nothing to it.

myself , i would keep the quad shocks. ford put them there for a reason, mainly for wheel hop. yes after market upper and lower control arms would take most of the wheel hop burden from the quads, but i replaced mine with koni quads, even though i have new lakewood upper and lowers and im quite happy with the whole setup

Yes Ford did put them on for a reason. The reason was a poorly designed lower control arm. The oval bushing in the front is what causes the wheel hop. With aftermarket lowers you can throw the quad shocks in the garbage. Quad shocks are a factory band aid and nothing more.

don't forget you get more tire/wheel clearance when they're removed also.

Mine have been gone for a long time, no problems. I do have UCA and LCA.
