go look up coast high performance..they make really good 347 strokers, but make sure if you buy one..to get one with 5.315" connecting rods and go with a nice top end kit from holley or trickflow..

wait how to do already have a trick flow track heat kit, but have holley carb, products intake??? and 400rwhp is tough..but with 5spd is a little easier..he meant you'll be around 400hp to the crank not rear wheels..with auto like 360rwhp and with 5spd like 375rwhp

i know he meant to the crank and i know it will be hard to 400rwhp but its a goal. when i bought the car it had the street heat kit on it. then i sold most the fuel injection stuff and went with a carb.

OK..thanks for clearing that up..but yeah 400rwhp is hard but nowhere near impossible, but hard cuz of the 302's 500hp limit..

Call comp and get a custom cam. If you insist on buying an off the shelf cam, check out this web page...
http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/camlist/cams_rol.htm The biggest problem with off the shelf cams is they are made for computer cars and have a lobe center of 112 degrees or more for high vacuum. A carb car can easily run with 106-108 degrees lobe sep. especially with a manual trans and you'll make way better power.
