If you want a comp cam, call comp directly for a cam recommendation. With a carb car, I wouldn't run anything close to what people normally run in their EFI cars. For one thing you can go with a lot tighter lobe center, lose a little vacuum, a lot more duration, and more aggressive ramping. One of the main advantages of going carb is that you are not limited to computer compliant cams.

The nice thing about crower cams is they make cams with a lot of duration, but with moderate lift so you don't get into trouble with piston to valve clearance.

For example a comparable cam to the comp mentioned above would be
Crower 15513 288° 298° @ 0.050" 228° 234° 0.512'' 0.531'' 112° Lobe center

Or Crower 15514 298° 304° @ 0.050" 234° 240° 0.534'' 0.545'' 110° lobe center
+1..i like that idea..alot of duration with a little lower lift..but with those lift numbers even 1.6's would be pushing it with stock piston to valve clearence..

but those numbers look sweet, still is that high a duration and lift OK with stock piston to valve clearence, is there an actually number or close to it????
