chevy Z71 vs 5.0

Hi all....guy at work would always say his 2007 Z71 would beat my 5.0 so i had to show his ass that it wouldnt. left him 6 to 8 cars behind

... by the way how much HP are the Z71 putting out?

hes puttin out more hp than you but you wheigh a lot less but yeah you shouldnt have a problem with one. hes one of those hardcore chevy or nothing idiots i bet.

What model 5.0 do you have? GT, LX or Notchback. Auto or manual?

Hes running 285hp w/295ftlbs of torque but his curb weight is 6100 lbs.

Its gonna depend on your mods too. More info would help.

????? he weighs no where near 6100lbs..my dads 04 F250 super duty, extended cab, short bed with dual exuast, 500lbs in the cab doesnt weigh 6100lbs...

those thing weight 5k MAX with weight in the back..

Yeah my brother is the same way, he was just joking though about his 2005 tahoe beating my 94 gt, and yeah I raced a 2000 something cummings and he had a programmer and bigger turbo and twin stack exhaust and he whipped my ass. But he was cool about it and talked to me about his up grades.

I had an '03 Harley Davidson F150 pull on me on the interstate doing 70mph. I was just easing around him driving normal and I get beside him and I here pipes kick in... this thing starts walking off... I said HELL NO.. I down shifted to 4 thinking that all I needed...and it wasnt enough. I downshifted to 3rd and nailed and started gaining on him. That damn truck can PULL.... the funny thing about the whole thing is.... this truck was pulling a 16-18 ft bass boat behind it

. I know some trucks have a hard time even holding a good 70mph on the highway while pulling a load like that... but this truck not only HELD it but was walking away from a mustang at that!

it coulda been a 6 liter 335 horse truck, and they do move out pretty good. I have seen them knock down low 15's in the quarter just fooling around. get the slp kit for it and ur knocking on 400 hp. they are some bad engines(lsx)
