How do you clean your engine??

How do yall clean your engine to get her looking new again, I want to do this after work today and wanted to see if there are any tricks yall know

i just took my motor out of my car for the winter and to rebuild it and upgrade everything. i not getting new pistons but a way to clean them is to get some steel wool and lightly touch the top of thme up to remove al lthe carbon. then for the block adn all that stuff jsut by some degreaser and spray some onto a rag and start wiping away. have a dry rag as well to go over what you just cleaned. clean the engine bay while your at it as well.

if your lazy, just go buy some engine bright in the spray can, spray it on there, and let it sit for 10-15 min and then powerwash it off....works good for having virtually no work involved

you powerwashed the engine bay?!??!?!?!? i would NOT reccomend that, if you hit a plug or wire you can easily shred that shit. i like to take a rag, get some orange clean/degreaser, take about 3-4 hours out of my day and clean it till she shines like new.

scrubing bubbles works good spray it on let it sit rinse off works good on white enclosed trailers and campers too

I use kerosen in a gardon sprayer of the gunky crap and rinse with hose try not to get on anything to i ortant though best if motor out of car

I kleened all the crap off the botom of my durango by going through a cut corn field lol when i get my car done i will let the air out of the bags and clean it in the grass lmao

I detailed cars for a couple years. Power washing under the hood is not a big deal. I would just spray the shit out of the engine (cold!!) with degreaser and let it sit for a few minutes than power wash it off. Just stand back a bit so you dont force water into any bad places. Just be carefull around computer parts and distributer caps and you shouldnt have any problems. Like i said i did this for a couple years to literaly hundreds of cars and never had one issue. If need be just repeat a couple times then wipe off anything else with a few rags. When you are done spray all the black stuff with a quality instant shine spray and you are ready to show off.
