Yes. They bolt right up. P heads have a smaller exhaust valve that are supposed to flow better despite their size and re-designed spark plug location, it makes some headers not fit, they also have smaller CCs (higher compression)about a .5:1 increase.

The GT40 intake is tubular, the explorer intake looks similar to a stock 5.0 HO intake on the outside, but the ports are round and offset...
No such thing as a gt40p intake.
The GT40, explorer, and cobra intake all flow the same, and i believe that i read the explorer actually flows a little better... But i dont think you would be able to tell the difference.

JBig is right about the spark plug angle and that the GT40ps being difficult with some brand headers...

and yes, the intake will bolt right up to e7 heads

My bad I thought you were talking about the heads. All 302 intakes will bolt to all SBF heads. I have never heard of a gt40p intake. the explorer intakes are similar in design to the cobra, and gt40 intakes but they are by far not as good. They are slightly better than a stock intake though.

explore gt 40 bottom and cobra top pic are the same on the inside from what i can find the cobra was made to cool the air because of the surface area and are much cooler looking but you need the lower as well

GT40 came on the 93 cobra, and older ford lightnings i know that for sure.

GT40P come off of 97.5 and newer explorers/mountaineers

No way look closer. The GT40 has 2 runners on top of 2 runners, on each side. the explorer has the runners 4 on each side and they are side by side the explorer is loosely based off the cobra intake, but with longer runners. I am sure the only GT40 intake is the one at the top, and there is no GT40p intake.
