kits are fairly reasonable for a 408 depending on rod and crank choice

look in your local trader or criagslist......another thingI do is call local machine shops to see if they have one for sale alot of times people can't pay thier bill and you can get it for the cost of the machine work and the block is free :wink

+1 OR late 60's...

someone on here picked up a complete 347 for like $1500 before that way!!!
