alright so i was reconsidering my whole build..i can get my hands on a set of ported stock heads, and i was thinkign about using those instead of the twisted wedge to save some money and get a stroker kit instead. im still going to buy the rom air gap manifold, and possibly a custom cam if i go with a stroker. my main question is, will the stock ported heads be good enough for the stroker kit.

no not at all..if anything get some 351w heads, have them HEAVILY ported, w/ 3-angle valve job, titanium retainers, double valve springs, stainless valves, 1.7 roller rocker and yeah they'll flow real good..but E7's ported are NBD...

the twisted wedge are worth the $1200..

there is no point in a custom cam if you dont get a good set of heads

why would you even consider an iron head on a stroker? you can grab a nice set of used aluminum heads for around 600.00 bucks...they wort off denotation and have several other benefits as well
