1979 capri


ok right now i have a 1979 capri witha 200 i-6 i just picked up a 1988 f-250 with the 302 5.0l no aftermarket stuff bone stock runs and drives i want the 5.0 in my capri i now im going to have to get new motor mounts and headers but can i easily find a ecu and wiring harness for (prefferably aftermarket) my capri. and does the 5 speed manual fit into the capri or will i have to buy say a viper 6 speed?

a truck 5.0 is different from a mustang 5.0 just find a wrecked mustang gt and get one

well i know that but i want an aftermarket new one. i will got to the junkyard to try and find some headers and aftermarket stuff.

oh ok 5 speed will fit in I would buy a 6 speed if you can offord it but not a viper just a t-56

I would just go carb forget the ecu.....the truck has a torque cam in it..sell the truck and start a engine build while enjoying the car

the truck 5.0 prob isnt a roller block, i say sell the truck and buy a roller 5.0 out of a junked mustang for like $250-500

i want the 5.0 for more power the car only weights 2k lbs. its going on the quarter mile and there arent any 5.0 mustangs engines besides rebuild ones where i live. i was thinking of throwing a 300 i-6 in the truck tho

and the engine is a push rod engine i wanna keep it that way to maybe.i will upgrade the top end heavily and supercharge it the bottom end will be stroked and the tranny will be fairly expensive t-5k.

we know its a pushrod engine we are taliking about roller or non roller,and for what your talking about a supercharged stroker is going to be making over 500 hp and your still not gonna have a block,b/c its gonna go boom

i got an 81 rs capri that came with a v6, has 302 truck motor from a 1980 model, hauled ass till i went to the track, has 95 mustang block now, much more top end....

from what i hear the truck block are more stable then the mustang 302 blocks besides the new one that uti are using and ford are manufacturing. anyhow i pretty sure the block will hold with a new set of heads and a new crank. im think 351m heads?
