its easier to get a t 56 and install it in a fox body since they make the kits to swap em in. check out D&D

well i figured out if you have 3.55 gears with 20 inch tall tires(Diameter) you could run around 3000 rpms at 80 miles a hour with a .61 final gear ratio....and price your looking at least 2500

I have 2 issues with Richmond transmissions, the price and the fact that they have weird gear combinations. For example their 6 speed is a single overdrive gear versus a 5th and 6th gear overdrive on the T56.

A buddy of mine used to have a Doug Nash in his 83GT. What was the deal with them, did Richmond buy them out?

No, the T56 is a 6 speed manual with two overdrives. Really awesome transmissions if you ask me.

A T56 is a 6 speed manual that they use in Camaros, Corvettes, Vipers and some Cobras.

I've always heard them refered to as T5 and T56 in Fbodies and Vipers as well. T5 and T56 is the name issued to them from Borg Warner. Its not a Ford specific title.
