no cutting, just need dif headers, oil pan, motor mounts, but dont know of anyone that sells shit for that conversion, if anything i'd do a 390..but 460 would be better!!!

I wouldn't bore and stroke a 351w anything more than 400cid personally.......

Also is a 360 block the same as a 390? if so you should just buy a 390 rotating assembly and get the extra 30 cubes.

429 is better than a 460 guys!!! 460's are truck engines they don't turn for shit! unless you gonna supercharge a 460 just go with a 429!

i wouldnt stroke one near that big either.......i mite go 427.....there was a black fox in mm&ff magazine that was running a 427 and 25 lbs of boost so i think that size would be pretty safe without the supercharger

first off goo luck w/ that 429..and OMG 460's arent truck motors, and second i could take a 460 out of a truck, put aluminum heads, custom cam, torker II and 750 double pumper and make 500hp..

second 390 isnt a 360 and both motors sucks..

tell that to all the 10's of thousand of people with 408s, there the best 351w stroker motors out there..and thats NBD boring wise..boring a 302 out to 347 is worse than 351 out to 427..i would personally do the 454 or 500..but i say get a 460 and bore and stroke it to 514 and H,CC, I and 750 or bigger carb!!!

Why is a 429 better than a 460? Why would you give up 31 cubic inches? 460s don't turn for shit? LOL! That's funny, my old 514 revved just fine. I have several friends with 460s (and bigger) in their cars and they turn alot of rpm with them. One of them shifts at 8800. What kind of vehicle the engine came out of means nothing.
