21 tooth they are made to have 23 but the 23 tooth ones sucks and will strip out in about 10K miles the 21 will be close enough

do you really have to change the speedo gear with different gears even though you have not changed anything in the trans

You dont have to put one in...Like has been said the speedo is off
And it will eat up your odometer so if you plan on selling your car, change the gear so it keeps the miles real. i still havent put my speedo gear in yet, but i dont plan on selling my car either. lol

So while we are on the subject.....what kind of speed gear would i need if i put 3.73's in my 5 speed fox

 stang=40's dumped,pro 5.0 short throw, king cobra clutch, adj. clutch cable and firewall adjuster...pretty much stock 2001 tacoma=magnaflow, K&N cai, tb spacer, 2.5" susp. lift, 32x11.50s, electric fan, few dress up items |
