ok so i want a short shifter


so i want a short shifter but is it worth it putting it in the t5 i mean some times i cant get the piece of sh&^ into gear and others times its great sometimes its hard to shift is the short shifter going to make it worse or better to shift and if i go with the t56 witch i hear is a 6speed is it going to work with it or will i have to get a new shifter

the shifter won't work with the t-56

but it will improve your shifting.

OK well witch one should i go with what is a easy install and do they make one with stops for the t5

they are all easy to install.

it's the same install for all of them

I don't have a 5.0 but the 2 brands I tried were Steeda and MGW.

I prefer the MGW

MGW or Pro 5.0 are peolly gonna be the most popular.
I have the Pro 5.0 in mine. I want an MGW next time around.

I vote the pro 5.0, i have it and wouldnt trade it for anything, it will help your shift a whole bunch, youll actually think you know how to shift, at least thts what my grandpa says...haha

Pro 5.0 or the steeda tri-ax...They are both great

I havent shifted a MGW but i hear nothing but good things about them.

Steeda Tri-Ax short throw is great! has stops and everything.... if your thans is already hard to get in gear it's not gonna last long when you start hammerin gears.... already on first t5 rebuild

How many miles/abuse have you tossed @ it? Mine still shifts great, but I've been seeing alot of people having to rebuild 'em often..

I have a 94 gt and I put a Hurst shifter in it and I love it. It is pretty much impossible to miss third power shifting since it has the built in spring that center it back to the middle.
