New 1995 Mustang GT

I just got a 95 mustang gt, 5 speed. I'm having lots of fun with it. The only thing im curious about is, what octane i shoudl be running. The only mods it has is a mac catback exhaust and a k & n filter. is it ok if i run 87 octane? will it ping at all?

Thanks
