Nitrous on Stock Bottom End

I have a chance to land a 75-150 shot of nitrous for $350..BRAND NEW...so i was wondering if the stock 302 bottom end can handle that..i have a complete top end..but i really do not wanna break anything..just want a small shot for a little fun around town/highway and on the track next time i go!!!

That is the standard price for a single nozzle jobber wet kit.

I wouldn't use more than a 250 shot on the stock bottom end.

Is it a wet kit or dry?
You may need some fuel system and ignition system upgrades...

I spray my car 100 shot nearly everytime I drive it. I've got the pill for 150 but haven't tried it yet, mine is a dry kit.

I wouldn't worry about a 150 shot, but I wouldn't go much higher.

Also, Dooo ITTTTTTT!! Nitrous is alot of fun.

250 + 225 = 475 hp

the stock bottom end can easily handle that as long as it is tuned well.

Dry is just that..it is a dry gas and it is plumbed into your intake before your MAF sensor. These kits are very easy to install.

Wet nitrous is the same as dry nitrous, but it has an additional fuel supply squirted with it at the same time...the solenoids open up the nitrous and the extra fuel at the same time which are then shot into the intake manifold runners by nozzles or a plate system if you are carbed. These are a little tougher to install due to the plumbing of the additional line for the fuel..plus you'd probably want a purge too with a wet kit.

Wet systems are probably safer because you have less of a chance for a lean condition.

Whatever you choose, just do it and don't be nervous. Just don't go too crazy. lol

It's not really that much harder to install a wet kit, you just replace the fuel pressure test fitting on the fuel rail with a -4AN fitting and then run a foot or so of -4 AN line to the fuel solenoid and from there to the nozzle or plate. Most wet kits come with everything you need to set it up.

I have installed about 10 nitrous kits and the thing that takes the most time is alway the wiring if you do it right.

BTW, if you want to bring your car to me, I'll install a kit for you for $600 installed, adjustable from 30 to 150 hp. I installed one on my buddies car and he went for 14.0 to 12.7 with a 100 shot.
