Trusting my new buddies on here !

Ok ....just got off the phone with a guy that builds motors for race cars and he is telling me that 94-95 is the worst year to try to work with....says i need to scrap my motor and tranny because the computers for both in that year could not handle the power or something ....says i need to go with a fox motor tranny and computers for both ....is this true or can I change the computers or do something to upgrade them...I was going to do the trick flow setup and supporting mods...and maybe 6 months or so start working on building a 347 bottom for the car....should I or should i scrap the motor tranny and computers i have? Please Help Thanks

my boss has a 95 GT and ended up switching his computer back to the eec tuner based computer. something about those first OBDII systems being junk for the 5.0

once again i don't think there is no differece in block/trans. stock block can hold up to 500 some people don't trust it past 400. trans anything over 400 is pushing it.....never get a stage 2 or above on a factory t-5. if your doing a 347 with trickflow you should have about 400 when all said and done so i say go for it bro. make sure you take your time and find a nice engine shop thats going to mean the world when it comes to how long your car lasts.

who in the hell did you talk 2??????the blocks and transmissions are the same in the foxes and the sn95 cars!!!!Whoever you talked 2 did not know what they were talking about!!!they are the same computers also''im pretty sure they have a rev limiter of 7000 instead of 6250.

forget all the complication of swapping ECMs and harnesses. just get a tuner or a dyno tune.

the ECM is the only advantage the foxes have over the sn95s. the sn95 does have an AOD-E instead of the AOD i believe, but otherwise the trannies and motor are carryovers from 93.

BTW, sn95 and fox both use EEC-IV which is OBD-1 not OBD-2. OBD-2 started in 96 for nearly every car made.
