Build up or buy crate engine?? Where to go for crate engine

I've got a automatic 94 gt vert (65,000 miles) that Im looking to add some power too. Ive already added; flowmaster cat back exhaust, BBK cool air intake, transgo shift kit, 3:73 gears and lowered 1-1/2" with tokico shock/spring kit. Just these things have really transformed the car.

Id like to see approximately 350 hp or so. This is just a street car driven maybe 3000 miles per year. I was originally thinking about installing the Trick Flow top end kit with headers. I have to pay a mechanic to install, so I would be in the $3000+ range for the trick flow option.

Other options I might consider are; turbo or supercharging, motor swap or maybe build to 347?

Any opinions would be appreciated. I might spend more then $3000 of it made more sense in the long term.

id say either stroke your motor you already have or buy a short block and build it your self. ford strokers gives you some good options but as far as cams and intakes your on your own. look for a custom grind i know there is links on here somewhere...jay Allen at camshaftinnovations.com.

For goal of 350 horses i'd go with Trick Flow h/c/i set. It may not give you all that, but still would be my choice.

ive seen AFR advertise putting their heads on a stock 302 to make close to 400hp. i don't know how much i believe that but with some simple mods and those heads you should be at 350

if i wanted to stroke my 302 would i have to change my heads (289 hi-po) because they will starve the engine?

It wasn't a stock 302. The engine was a stock short block with a stock 5 liter hydraulic roller but it also had 1.7 ratio rockers, a Weiand Stealth intake, Demon carb and stepped headers. They also used a Superflow dyno which is a bit optimistic. With a DTS dyno that engine wouldn't have fallen short of their mark.
