went to alabama to watch pinks get filmed.. in between episodes, i got to run my mustang.. it was my first time ever running on a track, so i had no idea what to expect.. my dad used to be a professional drag racer, so he walked me through most of it.. anyways, i ran a 15.042 @ 92mph with a terrible reaction time of .418.. lol

time for gears and nitrous!

oh, and that was with a cooler that weighed about 100 lbs, and my gas tank was about filled to the brim

ehh it helped you plant your rear tires. Not bad for the first time outyou can hit 13s with drag radials, 3.73s and lakewood traction action lift bars. (pro 5.0 helps) :wink

not bad for 1st time..i ran 13.6 w/ my 306 ranger for my first trip down the track couple yrs ago..my dad took it out and ran 12.5 so i sucked too..

When my car was stock, it was slower than that...Stock AOD cars really arent fast at all.

Uh....I am missing the point of this thread completely....we are talking about our first 1/4 times and you keep posting a pic....is this the personals I need a woman/man section or our first 1/4 times? Anways not too bad for your first time bro it takes some getting used to hitting the lights and launching on a track instead of street....my opinion go around the water pit if you are not running slicks...on street tires it drips down from your fender wells and gets your tires wet after the burn out and actually hurts your times instead of helping...

+1, go around the water box, and instead of a burnout just hit the throttle to get the debris off...A big burnout has hurt my times personally.

I also like to stage where I barely light up the second stage light...

Did you 1-D-1 shuffle? Not that it really matters...With those stock gears i bet you didnt even get into 3rd did you? I didnt when my car was stock. lol
