Thinking about buying

Hey guys,

Ran into a friend of a friend last nite who is looking to sell his project car.
68 fastback, full tube, vega front, all aluminum panels, currie rear, 35 splines, drag seat, .......basically a bare body, all fiberglass panels and flooring.
No engine, trans,

He was building for the 9.9 class. States cage did not certify because wall thickness failed by 6 thousandths.

Car has been sitting outside for approx a year.

What is it worth?

The guy is asking $2500?
What do you guys think?

States the cage will pass inspection now as the fabricator put in extra gussets and such. Guarantees it or money back.

Thoughts.......?
