EFI 87 HO 5.0 VS non HO. Differences?
still a good enough donor for a 5.0 swap?

My dog:

ok heres my answer. a nonho motor was 10-15h.p. less than the ho. there is a different intake i think, a different cam, and maybe more differences. so yes i would do it for 50bux definitely, you have a steal there its the same setup on the 1986 mustangs I think. Couple mods and you'll be ahead of the game anyways. DO IT

Thanks Mang!

The info I am starting to glean from other places is it may be a flat tappet cam. I may just knock it down and see what's inside at this point.

the v8 swap is somewhat popular, if you go to different mustang sites and search, or maybe even google it, you'll find tons of step by step stuff with pictures. I was thinking about doing that at one point, and there is tons of info out there.
