nitrous question

i might get a NOS kit for christmas, and i was reading this

http://static.summitracing.com/globa...-199r10329.pdf

and it says for use with a holley systemax intake manifold or something.. is that some type of marketing ploy to get me to buy the intake manifold, or is it required?

No, the plate kit is designed to fit between the upper and lower intake. You have to get the kit that is designed for your intake or it isn't going to fit. They make them for Trick flow, Holley, edelbrock performer, GT-40, and stock...

Anywhere from $20 to $50 to fill a 10lb bottle depending on your location.

It depends on how empty the bottle is, I've always been charged by the pound.

$3.50 per pound is the cheapest I've found

Some tracks charge as much as $7 a pound

I believe that is the correct part for a stock intake. You can check with NOS website, the part numbers should cross over.

cause i plan on going to the track pretty frequently and a 150 shot would be great i think.. plus, when i start to build my engine, the wet kit gives me room to throw a bigger shot at it down the road

That is why I said for a 10lb bottle. Everywhere charges by the pound. You can buy it in a 64lb mother bottle for $1.75 a pound pretty much anywhere. But if you don't have a refill station you are at the mercy of the people that do have them.
