I know Steve Ross ran a 10.71 in his fox body stang. It had a 306, no power adder. I am not sure if that is the national record though.

I hope you realize how much time, money, research, and testing of parts has to go into such a project.

That would put @ about high 9s. With a 1/4 mile with a total G-force average of 1 G.

I dont know for sure but I would guess the record is somewere in the low 10's. I dont think you could go any lower than that without a power adder.

Good luck with it man keep us informed

I dont care to argue I can use help and yes I know about mustangs I am still learning a lot though because there is a lot to learn.I am going to mini tub it like Darrell's car. Also it will have interior mabey not all of it and it wont look out the factory inside but it will have 2 seats.I am doing this progressively so I will get faster as time goes.I am going mid to low 12's in like 2 weeks hopefully. Then I will aim at 11's soon enough.I will be posting video's of progress and track video's also.I hope I can do it because I know I will be very difficult.

I forgot to answer of coarse I know about drag racing I just told you I used to run imports I had got into the high 11's on a turbo gsx but that was the fastest car I had.I have been building imports for 6 years before taking some time off and going to Mustangs now I wouldnt own anything but a mustang and I really like the fox and pushrod motors better than modular even though modular are more similar to a twin honda motor.

you can run 10s on 235 DRs, so why would you minitub it??

If it is set up right a 12.5 inch slick will fit under the stock wheel well.

You should be able to run 9s easily with 12.5s.

A 4 link is a good idea, getting the car down to about 2500 lbs will help, a cage will be important, you'll probably want a powerglide, and you'll be spinning 9000 rpms so a solid cam is a must, and you'll want an after market block, bullet proof bottom end, and TFS R heads will not get you close without some serious porting. Also it wouldn't hurt to run a hidden nitrous line. You can fit a 10 lb bottle in the door...
