Fox Junkyard Swapable Parts


just an FYI for the budget builder.

Electric Fans
MkVIII – 93-96 p/n – F3LY 8C607 A
97 p/n – F7LZ 8C607 AB
98 p/n – F8LZ 8C607 AA
94-95 Mustang GT or V6
89 OR NEWER 3.8L V-6 taurus fan

3G Alternators
94-95 Mustang V8
94-98 V6's
Other cars with the 3.8L motor in it. 5.0L cougars with the 94-95 style motor and others.
There are a lot of car with the 3g alt that will fit. Late 90's is when Ford switched to the 4G alt.
Make sure you clip the small white stator plug and take that also. You will need it.
Mid 90s taurus or escort. Says 130A on the back etched into it.
93-96 Tarus 3.0 V-6 (non SHO)
94-96 Mustang 3.8 V-6
94-95 Mustang 5.0
94-96 Thunderbird 3.8 V-6 (non SC)
95-96 Windstar 3.0 V-6 (most are 3.8's)
93-96 E/F series Trucks/Vans 4.9 L6*
96 Sable 3.0 V-6
94-96 Cougar 3.8 V-6
*Probably the best one if you can get it (should be easy to find, too) is off the E/F series...this series uses a threaded top ear like the stocker on the Mustang....E/F series with threaded ear uses metric bolt. ALSO, make sure the E/F series is 130 Amps and NOT 95. For all other cars listed above 130A is only option listed.

24 lbs. Injectors
93-98 Lincoln Mark VIII 4.6L DOHC
95-up Lincoln Continentals 4.6L DOHC
'03 Lincoln Aviator 4.6L DOHC
F-350 with the V10 engine
7.5L 460 V8 trucks
5.4L DOHC Navigator

Intakes
The 5.0 explorer intake was the same from 96-01.
96-01 Intakes are spin offs of the Cobra Intake.

Heads
Explorer Heads:
Early heads 96-98 models are GT-40 (same as 93 cobra )184,154 valves
late heads from 99-01are GT-40P (angled plug)
184,154 valves , 58cc. Chambers

Throttle Body
Explorer 302 - 65mm TB
You must swap out the throttle shaft and arm from the stock mustang TB.

Brakes Rear
Disk
87-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe/93 Cobra
85-91 Lincoln Mark7

Brakes Front
SN/95 spindles and calipers 94-04 V6/GT/Cobra
73mm single piston caliper from Lincoln MkVII.

5-Lug Axles
Driver side ranger axles or passenger side aerostar axles
'83-'92 Ranger/Bronco II Left (driver) side axle (29-5/32") from a 4cyl or 3.0L V-6 with the 7.5" rear end, or '86-'97 Aerostar RIGHT side axles (29-5/32")

5-Lug Rotors
84-91 Lincoln MkVII

Master Cylinder
'94-98 V6/GT
'99 V6

Misc.
Escort GT seats (20-25lbs lighter than mustang gt/lx seats, more comfortable, bolt up to the mustang seat rails, and look like the recaro style 85 gt's but much easier to find)

The small starters come on 92/93+ 302's in almost every Ford car and truck that came with the 302.

Thats what I have, I didnt know they were lighter though, but makes sence because they dont have the lever on the back of the seat to lean it forward, you actually have to recline it forward all the way on the side. Also they dont have the pull out knee section. Which I have no clue as to why ford ever used seats like that, I have yet to see anyone actually use them.
