are 4 pin vs 5 pin relays the same
Ford uses a 4 pin relay for my 89-90 fuel pump and ecc. Autozone provides a generic relay with 5 prongs.
Has anyone replaced a 4 prong with a 5 prong. I realize the 5th prong in the harness is not connected, but am concerned if the relay will actually work or if I need a Ford part.

The 5th pin is most likely an extra power out and probably labeled 87a. It will work fine.
