18" Wheels and Tires on '88 GT Vert

Want to put on 18" wheels. What size Backspacing and tire size will fit on a 1988 GT vert. Hasn't been lowered yet, want to wait to see if 18" will fit.

well you will need some 91-93 fenders to help

I take it the fenders are different.

i know someone who had some 17x8/18x10 bullits on his 89. i think he said he got rid of the quad and had to do some exhaust work (tailpipes) but it looked good! it can be done.
