Fuel Pump
if im switching from efi to carb can i just dissconect the old efi fuel pump that is in the tank and just add a inline fuel pump

No you can't really suck through the in tank pump.
Take the stock fuel pickup out and take the pump off. Then put a piece of fuel hose on the feed part of the pickup and put a brass T at the bottom where the bottom of the fuel pump used to be. Or you can buy a pickup with -AN fittings. They are about $150.
