Matt's got a great site and all the little parts you need for the swap. I did it a few years ago. Works Great! Between that and the 73mm lincoln fronts its stops like a real car.

PS: this pic is not my car.

If its not a turbo coupe rear than it isn't disk brakes.

Or a Lincoln VII LSC. But that have air bags for springs and require alot of welding to install spring pearches.

a T-bird rear is about 2" wider than a mustang rear. I have an 86 t-bird as well and I used a rear out of a mustang in it and it is narrower than the original 7.5 so just swap the brake parts it will be less work.

On my 91' convertible I swapped out the rear-end from my friends 95' coupe. I also took his 17' wheels with 245/45ZR17 tires. They are a little wider than stock, the swap took about twenty minutes and it fit like a glove.

Just be careful... with a fox body, you need to get a 93 Cobra R brake booster, and a master cylinder that will work with four wheel disk brakes.

(also, on my car the e-brake cables did not match up... Ford Racing has kits)

welding? the Mark rear should bolt right in a mustang, unless i'm missing something. and it too is about 2" wider like the t-bird /cougar rear.
