I never slip the clutch when I launch, that is the quickest route to a clutch replacement.
Basically you have to find the rpms that your car launches best at. Hold it at a specific rpm, when the last amber light lights up you simultaneously smash the gas pedal and very quickly, but controllably let your foot off the clutch. If you have too much RPM, you will spin, not enough, it will bog. Repeat as many times as necessary to find the right rpm. What you are looking for is a 100-300 rpm window where you hear the tires just start to squeak, but do not break loose. That is the best launch point, you are putting down as much power as you can. Invest in a set of ET streets and you will be able to launch at over 4000 rpms this way with around 10-12 PSI in the tires.
