92 5.0 Engine Into 86 GT Body... MAF Conversion Help
i got an 86 gt h/b and i bought a 92 5.0 motor with some engine work(cams, valves, heads intake.. etc..) because i found that the 86 had shitty internals plus the speed density setup which didnt work well with mods. Ive seen alot of stuff on the internet on how to but most have been different. some say you only need the computer and 4 wire hookups .....?????? what do i need to make it work also the 86 gt had a t.5 which i sold and have bought a c.6 tranny for the 92 motor

Truth is, installing the C6 is probably gonna be harder than a MAF conversion. You can either buy a new conversion kit from Motorsport or you can find one from a junkyard specializing in Mustangs. I got mine from Mustang Parts Specialties in Atlanta. They guarantee it to work or they will replace it.
You need to disconnect the battery, change the EEC computer inside the kick panel on the passenger's side, run the cable inside the right fender, install the sensor and plug it all in, re-connect the battery and that's about it. Unless you just buy parts here and there from junkyards, you will most likely get instructions with the kit. Piece of cake.
