Next Steps For The 92

The car is a 92, with 166k original miles. Currently we have full exhaust, 76mm C&L MAF(19lb tube), BBK FPR, and a K&N drop in filter.

So the next step is h/i/c. At the same time we plan on replacing the radiator/thermostat, adding an electric fan, 255lph fuel pump, and a 75mm TB. We're probably going with something similar to the Trick Flow street heat top end kit. Am I leaving any necessary/recommended parts off this list? We plan on upgrading to larger injectors when we decide on a supercharger later.

Are there any recommended tests/checks/maintenance to do prior to pulling the old equipment off?

What checks are recommended while the heads are off?

Also, does anyone know if there is room to install/remove the heads with studs as opposed to bolts with the master cylinder etc. in the car?

i was under the impression h/i/c was heads/intake/cam?

Did this a few posts back, however I'm always up for suggestions.

here goes:

The goal is a 4-500hp street car. Now that the exhaust is complete, I wanted to swap out the h/i/c. Going with a setup that Darrell laid out a while back in a post.

- CRN-11747-16 Crane roller rockers - $180
- TFS-21406700 pushrods - $87
- TFS-51400904 gasket kit - $91
- TFS-51400801 valve covers - $103
- TFS-51400004 heads - $1287
- TFS-51500002 intake - $512
- ARP-154-3601 head bolts - $40
- TFS-51400800 oil filler - $30
- TFS-51478520 timing set - $69
- TFS-51402001 cam - $165

Not sure on the age of the stock radiator that's in there now, it seems to be cooling fine, but don't want to risk running warm once we drop alum heads on there.

not decided on the rad yet, probably griffin or fluidyne.
a new thermostat (haven't done research to see if anything besides a stocker is needed)
black magic flexalite fan

also on the list of things to purchase soon are:

pro 5.0 shifter(hate to buy this if we don't decide to keep the t5, but the stock shifter is awful)
maximum motorsports full length subframes, k-member support, strut tower brace
alum driveshaft(might just try to get the current one balanced)
richmond 3.55 or 3.73 ring/pinion set
75mm TB/EGR (not decided on brand, open to suggestions)
255lph fuel pump (again, not sure on brand yet and open to suggestions)

After that we're planning on a procharger (not sure about p1sc or d1sc), but i'm guessing our trans might have some issues with that, so might look into transmission rebuild kits or a swap out altogether.

sorry for length
