E cam or F cam horsepower and 1/4 mile time questions
i have an 88 GT with larger injecters, not sure the correct size, underdrive pulleys, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, larger throttle body and spacer, cold air intake, 3:55 gears and headers and dynamax exhaust
i am trying to decide between an, E cam or an F cam i know that with the F cam i need bigger valve springs. i am on a limited budget, and eventually wanna do the head swap and intake swap, but only wanna buy a cam once. does any one have the same kind of set up as me have an E cam or F cam, i am wondering the HP the motor will produce as well as what kind of 1/4 mile times and speed it can possibly do. you know how it is, little money... so many options. Just wanna know whats out there. |

You will have to do it twice. A cam that works with stock heads will not be optimal for aftermarket heads. Horsepower will be close between the E and F cam. With stock heads I wouldn't use anything bigger than the E cam.
