cam in the 89 five liter.

hey guys, im new to the forum and ford efi 5 liters in general. i was wondering, with the car i bought, came a Lunati Cam. Ive been wanting to put it in for a while now, and was wondering what all has to be done once its in. Im all old school carb motor technology so i have no idea what to do as far as tuning. im sure the computer would need to be tuned to go along with the cam right? its part number 51025LUN. the specs are:

Advertised Duration IN/EX: 284/290
Duration @.050 IN/EX: 224/232
Gross Valve Lift IN/EX: .535"/.544"
Lobe Sep Angle / Intake Ctr Line: 112/108
Valve Lash IN/EX: Hyd/Hyd
RPM Range: 2200-6200

any help would be GREATLY appriciated as i am new to this and looking to learn as much as possible before attempting to do it, but really would like to try this out. also is that cam too much for my motor? its mosty a stock motor. it has a 70mm tb, bbk headers, h pipe, flowmasters, msd wires, blaster ss coil, holly regulator and some other little odds and ends bolt ons. anyone who can help in anyway please do so! Thanks.

That cam will do nothing for you with stock heads.

The stock heads suck. If you really must have a different cam don't go any bigger than the Ford E303 cam.
