im sure you have it ok... on mine i didnt have a line hooked to it to start so i just put a plate in place of the egr. if nothing reads and it seems to run the same you should be ok... i wouldnt know why not

That is funny my light is still on. Did you leave it plugged in under the hood or did you get rid of it all together??

Your eeciv corrects timing to compensate for the EGR, if you don't have it hooked up the Check Engine light comes on for the EGR code, but it is compensating for the EGR not opening. So I recommend leaving it with the light on, or getting a chip, or something to turn EGR function off altogether.

to keep the exhaust gases from re-entering the air-fuel mixture in the cylinders. it keeps the combustion cleaner.
cali 5.0, i got it from ebay! actually i got both from ebay. the block off plate and the plug in EGR eliminator simulator plug. when the ecm sends a signal to the egr threw the wiring the simulator "simulates" the function of the egr as if it was still hooked up.

i just cut some sheetmetal, drilled two holes, put gasket sealer on it and painted it. (worked great) i know its kind of rig'd but it looks fine with the maroon paint.

Really cheap way to do it, but it works.

Thats my way of doing things! ! ! Here is my EGR delete..... all I did was remove the EGR plate and fabricated a throttle cable bracket.... very cheap, and very effective....

Expanded view....

It really helps to free up some much needed space for intercooler piping...

The only place exhaust should be going is into a turbo, not the intake! ! !

wow, thats looks sweet! i'm really a newbie when it comes to anything but GM. this is my first ford, and i love it. i actually enjoy driving it more than my 86 SS and i have 3 times the amount of money it IT! thats why the stang is getting the ROYAL treatment, new carpet, seat upholstery, tires and a top before i do anything else to the monte!

good job on all the fab work!
