How can you guys say that your dumping the clutch at 5000 rpm. That would bog the motor down. You have to feather it out. Ride the clutch.

How would it bog the motor down? I launch 5 speed cars at 5000 - 6000 all the time with slicks and never bog the motor down. If you are bogging the motor down you need to re-evaluate your driving skills and make some changes.

find someone that wants to trade their aod for a t-5 then spend 800 bucks on the aod or aode and you will have a tranny that will hold 700 - 1000 HP

You've never raced a car before have you?? Feathering the clutch is the fastest way to replace your clutch and the slowest way to finish the quarter mile.

if u dont have the suspension to handle a 5000 rpm dump then u have to kinda feather it or he will be sitting at the line spinning

...a stock AOD will never hold that much power...

and dumping the clutch at 5K wont do anything but give you wheelspin unless you've got some really sticky tires. In that case you'd jus squat and go providing you have a decent suspension and control of the car.

READ THE POST I said take the AOD and spend 800 bucks on parts thats not labor and it will handle that power and if you want to try to disprove that go to Click Click Racing and you will see several 8 and 9 second AOD's yanking the front wheels with 500-1000 hp ....dan silverfox will build you one for 1000 HP no problem

I thought so too but this guy is badass and there are a lot of things you can do really cheap to make that thing handle some serious numbers....they are a great tranny when built right and it doesnt take much cash to get it done.....he made me a believer

I think all we have to do is read my quote at the bottom and after that there will be no need to respond to White89 no more... Agreed?

The stock supsension will handle it just fine. You will need a good tire on the car though. It is pointless to try to run a car hard like that with a street tire.
