Turbo or Supercharger?

i want a 400- 450 hp out of my car using my 89 302.. what would be a better way to go twin turbo or supercharger?? which would be more reliable?
.which would be better for my engine life?and which would be a cheeper way to go (i can build my own turbo kit) to achieve my goal?

for which you think would be best what other add ons would i need to get for the stock engine.AE CAM,HEADS,BLOCK WORK,INJECTORS,THROTTLE BODY,FUEL PUMP,?

the car already has mac shorty headers, off road H pipe, underdrive pullys and a polished throttle body.

I plan on taking everything apart and rebuilding it with fresh bearings seals rings gaskets rehone/bore if needed. port and polish intake and heads EXC is there anything i should replace while its apart.

you could easily get that out of a stock 5.0 with a supercharger or turbo. I would go supercharger just because i have more experience with them but thats your call

a lot of people like turbo a lot better but there are a lot of supercharger applications out there for the 5.0 and that just seems like it would be easier

It all depends if you want a dyno queen or not. Is it going to be a daily driver? Do you want usable HP?

well if you actually want the car to hook up with 450hp, your gonna have to do a lot to that little foxbody..... Ask me how I know.....

I would defiantly go supercharged if this isn't a daily driver, Turbo's can save gas as compared to a s/c because they kick on only when brought to certain RMP's. But, superchargers are instant power, no hesitation! And it would just be WAY easier to get/install/work on I think

Superchargers are not exactly instant, just like a turbo, they will provide a certain boost at a certain load and RPM. A SC boost curve is a little more predictable because it is driven directly from a belt but the "lag" is still there.

actually s/c have a parasitic attribute... there is no lag, just draws more power from the engine
