I recommend pro 5.0, shortest shifter made, sits soo nice, shifts perfect, + adjustable. Hands down best manual shifter out there!

Like I told you in the PM, I used a set of vistrips to bend the metal a little bit to get the lower shifter plate off, but you bend it back, its very flexiable so its a 10 minute job man. No worries.

Thats 3 votes for Pro-5.0 , Need anymore? Pro 5.0 = Best out there! But Kinda pricey, I found out that if you find them locally, and used (but in great shape) there cheaper, $75 or so ;o just a suggestion...

I bought a pro5.0 two weeks ago and didn't like it. It was a great shifter and very smooth, but the thing I didn't like about it was the shifter location. Call me a creature of habit, but that shifter location didn't feel right. It was too far farward and too far to the passenger side. I felt that I had to reach too far to shift. I tried a Steeda Tri-ax and loved it! The shifting was a tad bit stiffer from the Tri-ax in my opinion and the tri-ax has a stiff centering spring for going into third. I guess I coul dsee myself buying the pro5.0 for drag or serious driving, but being a daily driver, it just didn't feel right.

Both the triax and Pro 50 are good shifters and you will get a mixed reply from peeps. Everyone here allready made good points, the 5.0 is smooth and shifts nice, but some peeps think the handle is to short. Me im 6'2" so it works for me. Others like the triax cause the handle is perfect as far as height and distance, but the shifts themselves arent as nice as the pro 50s.

So what I have seen peeps do is compromise and use the pro 50 base with the triax handle. I guess then you have the best of both IDK!

Here is the pro50 in my car. BTW, I vote pro50 for the record.

umm pro-5.0 isnt the shortest throw out there..i would agree very nice feal, thats what i use..i had an hurst and that was nice and never used to the steeda tri-ax but havent heard to many good thing about them...but cleary the best short throw shifter out there right now. is an MGW shifter, shortest throw, great feal, looks good, adjustable, has strongest centering springs out of any sts, and the whole shifter lever is adjustable 360 degrees and back and forth too..

I will look into MGW. If it is that adjustable, you can pretty much build one to suit. After all the reviews here, many people don't like Tri-ax, but no one is saying WHY.

Hurst Short throw = Weird. I didn't like it one bit, It wouldnt go into gear sometimes on my car.

Steeda Tri-ax : Well, its a 6.5 rating out of 10 for me.

Pro 5.0 - Was the best shifter for my car, this shifter was made for HARD shifts... which is what I did..

For daily driving use, Well... Pro 5.0, U cant go wrong. MGW, I have heard these being used on the new mustangs and I heard they sucked. I have never heard someone use a MGW shifter on a fox.
