What Size Belt ?

Purchased an 87 mustang over 4 months ago off a police auction, and when I brought it, it had no a/c compressor or smog pump and the power steering pump was temp placed up with the a/c compressor was, just held in 1 one long bolt, but not in use . A short belt was used to power the alternator and other major components. Just installed the a/c delete pulley, but I can't see to find a belt that will be short enough to fit. What size belt ? Is there another belt that I use to work ?

Good way to measure is to use a piece of string then lay that out on a tape measure or whatever to see exactly how long you need.

855k6 is my size on my 88 Beast GT. It's got no smog pump so you have a head start...

Try a 685k6 AHHHHH.... "k6" = 6 ribbed. So if you have a serpentine belt then continue below.

try a 685k6 that was beyond short on mine so give it a shot.
