the white wire goes to the 12v dash lighting
the red wire goes to the 12v ignition switch
the black wire needs to be grounded
the green wire goes to the negative on the coil.

go there, find ur own tach , and get the instructions downloaded. if you dont have adobe 3.0 +, u wont be able to open the file. if thats the case, go to adobe.com and download it, its free. enjoy

i put the 12v dash light into an open spot in the fuse box
the ignition wire was wired into a hole under the ignition cylinder
black wire i grounded somewhere
and ran the coil wire thru the firewall into the coil

he practically said it all......just get under there with a test light and start touching wires.......youll be fine!

haha jk but ya use the fuse box...it should have prongs that you can put a end on the wire and plug it into (for the lights, and the twelve volt ignition wire that turns on with the key)

also, if this tach was not new, the previous owner could of cut the 2 wires in the back(small small wires) either for a 4cyl or a 6cyl, 8cyl(this one are where none are cut) i think the brown = 6cyl, and white = 4cyl. (I am possibly wrong, I didnt check on autometer, and I dont quite remember) That could be fucking up ur rpm aside from ur stock tach.

Stupid question: What and where is the coil? What does it look like? I know it's under the hood but that's all I know. Anyone have a pic?
