Car shaking below 1500 rpm

my car has a shake and sometimes it does it worse than other times and it will quit shaking if you rev the motor above 1500rpm or if you push in the clutch it will almost quit but still does it a little. i am wondering if the problem is in the tranny or what.

Does it do it when you are stopped and reving the motor? Could it be the trans mount?

it does it when i am stopped at an idle or in neutral at an idle coasting, but as soon as you rev the motor it quits shaking.

Check the harmonic balancer. Look close, if there is any rubber sticking out, its bad. common after 15 years.

i had a similar problem, maybe not the same as you but check your plug wires and plugs something may not be firing right, i mixed up plug wires once and got similar resultss to what you are saying, it's worth a shot....check your firing order..
