Gears
I just got this car about a month ago n im trying to make it get up n go. I talked to one of the shops by my house n they told me to go with 4:10 gears. I was thinking those are way to high? should i go with those or would 3:73 be better. I got an auto and its a daily driver. O yea its a 92 GT

with an AOD do the 4:10s...you really wont notice and huge difference between 3:73s and 4:10s...and people will recommend ford racing, pro-5.0 and richmond...fords are made by both, and richmonds the cheapest...so go that way...

3.73 for a more drivable car 4.10's are still streetable but its kinda preference. if it were me personally, i would do 4.10

well i have 4.10s in my 97 gt. but that heavy tank needs them. I was just thinking the 4.10 might be a bit much in a light ass coupe.

either way....theres rlly no difference..its down to tenths in 1/4 time on the difference...both of you do 4:10s...
UJ...with those 97's weighing 3500lbs or so...and it prob still launches pretty good w/ those 4:10s...imagine that in an 3000lb 5.0...

yeah i hope mine is a lean car, its a 79 and im carbing it and it hasnt got carpet inthe trunk and doesnt have 1/2 the wiring and modules and crap the newer cars have and the plasitics on the interior arent that heavy sooooooo. even with a stock engine (minus the f cam which probably is hurting more than helping) and a set of gears this fucker better do some 13s easily

A lot of it depends on your tire height too.
