ok...tell me 2 things...who told you you'll need an C5...and WTF IS A C5...do you mean C4 or C6...and 3gs to bore, stroke, and heads...you must be going cheap everywhere else, cuz that stroker kit is almost $1g, the bore is another $200-500, an good set of heads $1200-1700, which wont leave you much for an nice cam, good intake and carb and the headers and shit you'll need to swap...also any year 351 thats not 68-72 isnt very good at all, small cylinder walls..you can still use it but those things limits are like 500hp...just like any 5.0....

a c5 is an automatic transmission that was in 83-86 v6 mustangs, some rangers, broncos, and trucks, not very good for racing, old band type transmission

please stop you dont know what your talking about this is why the internet gets a bad rap. The current F4TE roller 351 blocks go 650 all damn day long, they dont break, they experience cap walk, this can be minimized by line honing the mains to cleveland 2.750, using the bearing spacers and ordering or cutting the crank from std 3 inch mains to 2.750. How man 500+hp windsor based block motors have you built. We have noticed the early 69-70 blocks are solid to 700 then also experience severe cap walk alot of times.
