.

yea its a 302 roller, with edelbrock intake and carb. the tranny was said to be shot....it would die when you let the clutch out, no matter what gear your in....so i towed it home with the driveline out, fuck around for a little bit with it, got not to die, put the driveline back in and i drive it to work sometimes...lol the tranny is shot but it works..

hey man I think I know exactly what your going thru, I think i went thru the same problem and I have the part you need. and your not gonna find it at a parts store, and the later columns are differant. Check these pics out and tell me if these are what you need.
Here is what my column looked like when i got my car.

I think thats the piece you want. When you take the blinker stalk off there are 2 1/2inch bolts that hold this tight. Take those out, take the ignition switch off, take the ignition lock cylinder out, if its still there! And you have to use a screw driver to acutate this piece and you will see the slider how it comes out of the steering column tube. This is a bitch really!
I actually have a tube with this part on it. would be easier for ya. just take your shit out and transfer it to this piece I have. If your intrested I will get a picture for ya. It has a brand spankin new ignition switch on it. And I have a lock cylinder with a key if ya want it also.
