you run chances at stock HP depending on driver and car etc. but think the max you wanna take your block to is 550 range

if you race it every weekend, probably not.
but i think if you use a main cap girdle, about an inch of hardblok, 1/2" arp main and head studs, along with a quality line hone, bore and deck plate hone, it will be fine for moderate use.

that dont make the block any stronger it just keeps the two halves of the block together and does not allow the crank to fall out the bottom

my work in progress is based on the siamese bore 351svo,(M6010-w351) but
i figure i'll be a long way from pushing the limits of the block. currently stock bore x stock stroke
i'm hoping to put a year of running on it, hopefully season the block a bit before i have enough$$ to buy a 4.125 x 3.75 rotating assembly in a year or so. OR i could put hardwood floors in.. tough choices

you're right. in her quiet, unassuming way, she always gets what she wants somehow anyway.

the new ford boss 302 is actually pretty good..its limit is somewhere over 1000hp...its compatible with most if not all parts that fit stock windsor 302s...and for being the less expensive out of all so i dont see why they wouldnt be too bad...also they have stronger nickel content allowing you to bore out the motor more than like .40 over like the stock block..they can do like .70over or so..thus meaning the block in 1 peice will last longer becuase you can get it bore .30 over to clean it, and then later .30 over again to clean it again..if you dont blow it up first

Actually, the new Boss block can be taken safely to 4.125" bore, allowing a maximum of 3.400" stroke (Max CI= 363). It costs roughly $1799.99.. and that is unprepped, you'll end up spending over 2k for a fully prepped and machined, ready for assembly peice. HP Capabilities are in the 1300-1400hp range. Good replacement for the R302 and A4.

thats what i was getting at..didnt know the exact limit of bore...and i knew it was 1300 or so...but over 1000 sounds coooler...1799.99 is just the block..no internals, not decked, honed...the interals could be as low as $750...
