Frozen Rear
Well here is the story.
I took in 2nd gear and spun the crap outta the tires and had LOTS of wheel hop and after that it felt like how it feels to drive with the e-brakes up. so i thought maybe cuz of the crazy wheel hop that the a spring or 2 came off the in the drums cuz cant be the wheel cylinders cuz there both 1 month old as is everything else in the rear brakes including the hard lines. so i took off the shoes and nothing they were fine so i try to spin the axle and couldn't by hand had to use a pry bar spin it so now i know its the diff but dont know what could have gone wrong in there. i plan to change the oil this weekend but i was wondering if any of ya'll have had this problem and could tell me whats wrong. ThankX |

he probly saying if you should disconnect the driveshaft to make sure its not in the tranny........cuss if you took it off and then the wheels would free spin that would eliminate the diff all together

You might have ruined some axle bearings with that wheel hop. Wheel hop is a quick way to put a new rear end in a car...

you need to trouble shoot the location of the problem, as mentioned disconnect the driveshaft from the rear and see if it is still hard to turn. BTW you are turning it with the car in neutral right??
